I have seen a few manifestos around the place and I love them. The one above is the Holstee Manifesto and is fairly well known and then I saw this one over at Fatmumslims and fell in love with it.
So I sat down with pen and paper and brainstormed what I want 2012 to mean to me. Then came to the execution - how to put my ideas into a funky format that I could stick on the wall? And this is where the problems started - seriously how the hell does that photoshop package work?
So instead I have just a boring listy format below and one of my goals this quarter is to finally learn how to use photoshop and my first project is to make my manifesto PRETTY - this may take a while but watch this space.
... swim in the sea
... energy, zip, snap, crackle, pop
... be present on my blog
... sew more, create more
... be more patient with the kid
... drink some water occasionally
... remember ME
... friends and family are more important than anything
... get rid of stuff, buy less stuff
... step away from the tv more often
... laugh at myself
... give more
... count to 10 and breathe before reacting
... squishy cuddles*
... discover what that room with the oven in is actually for
... be a kid with my kid
* Thanks Cathie (M.E.) for the inspiration for this one

your 2012 manifesto sounds perfect Amanda!
Extra squishy cuddles are always a necessity round at ours.

I ADORE the Holstee manifesto, and had just been thinking of doing a blog entry on it - you beat me to it :)
I love your manifesto, and the idea of creating one for yourself. very inspiring :)
